If you’re looking for a community vibe while you pound the pavement, the Gold Coast is anything but in short supply. There are run clubs around every corner, offering the perfect mix of socialisation and outdoor exercise.
Whether you’re a running veteran, a fresh goal setter, or completely new to the game, brace yourself (or ‘lace’ yourself…) because here are our picks for the Gold Coast’s Best Run Clubs in 2025!
Hedges Run Club
Into prioritising your mental and physical health? The crew at Hedges Run Club are sure to have you feeling refreshed for the day ahead after a nice 5km run at 5am every Wednesday. Move your body with a slow jog or a fast run up and down Hedges Avenue in Mermaid Beach, starting and finishing at Rafiki cafe. When you finish, have a quick dip with tidal talks (@tidaltalks) at 6.15am and then skip across the road for your morning brew.
Unfit Run Club

How could you not find running fun with this cafe and brewery venturing fitness group. Unfit Run Club is all about getting your mates together and moving your body while seeking out great cafes and breweries across the Gold Coast. Run it, jog it or walk it, this club is done completely at your own pace. Try it out this week – Saturday morning with a 1-5km run and coffee, or Thursday afternoon with 1-3km run and beer.
The Salt Social
Loosen ya hammies at 5.15am every Tuesday – The Salt Social is an incredibly inclusive run club welcoming runners of all abilities and fitness levels. Go the full distance or turn back when you’ve reached your limit – the crew reconvene afterwards for a coffee and swim. If you want to build speed, strength and confidence in your running abilities, there’s also a 5.10am Thursday speed session.
Megarun
Run any distance at your own pace at Megarun, on every Sunday at 5.30am opposite Custard Canteen. The maximum distance at this club is 10km – challenge yourself to go the full distance or turn around when necessary. The crew at Megarun are great at proving you’re more capable than you think. Nervous to start? Don’t stress – this club has a massive membership, so you’re sure to blend in.
Gold Coast Run Co.
A truly ‘runderful’ club of new and established runners, Gold Coast Run Co. hits the pavement every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, as well as most Saturdays. There are plenty of seasoned runners at this club, perfect for learning the best running techniques and form. This run club is a little bit different and does include an annual membership of $40 – but you get four free runs when you sign up!
445 Run Club
Guess what time this run club meets? If you guessed 4.45am, you’d be right! Starting the actual run at 5am for 40 minutes at your own pace, this crew is all about moving your body by running, jogging or walking. Afterwards, jump in the ocean and grab a coffee – the perfect reward. Going ahead in any weather – join the 445 Run Club in Currumbin every Friday.
Good Times Running Club
Every kilometre is a step in the right direction with Good Times Running Club. Social runners and competitive runners alike – head down at 5am on Tuesdays for speed and Thursdays for hills at Tallebudgera Park. The crew also do a longer run on Saturdays at a weekly-changing location which can be viewed via their Instagram. Whichever day you choose to attend, duck down to the creek for a post-run swim and chat with your new running mates.
Good Good Running
Get on the run for fun with the gang at Good Good Running. Taking place every Friday afternoon at 5.15pm – the crew run and jog 25 to 30 minutes from Burleigh Brewing Company. If you’re keen for “a few kms, a few sips, and a few high fives”, Good Good Running Club isn’t a bad place to be.
Sana Days
Complete any distance up to 10km with Sana Days – a free running group that gets together every Tuesday morning at 5.15am at Tallebudgera Creek. Finish the slog with a nice dip and the ocean and a rewarding coffee – the main goal at this run club is about showing up and moving your body. If you’re not already convinced – not only is this group a run club, but they also contribute heavily to mental health initiatives and suicide prevention.
Gold Coast Runners Club
Burleigh Heads, West Burleigh and Miami
Mixed sessions on Tuesdays and trail and road sessions on Thursdays – that’s where the vibe is at for the Gold Coast Runners Club. It all kicks off at 5am from Justin Park in Burleigh for locals, visitors, social and competitive runners alike. They also hold an extra social run club every Sunday morning from December to February at 6am and March to November at 6.30am.
Be a Runner
A midweek running tipple with experienced coaches to help you take your fitness to the next level – Be a Runner (BAR) is on every Thursday for 60 minutes from 5.45am at the corner of Marine Parade and Burrows Street in Biggera Waters. It’s $5 a run for members and $15 a run for non-members. Need a bit more help with your running? Take advantage of their online, group and private training options.
Parkrun
Globally known for its 5km weekly events for runners, joggers, walkers, spectators and volunteers – the Gold Coast boasts a number of Park Runs spanning from Coomera and Paradise Point to Tamborine Mountain and Main Beach, all the way to Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mudgeeraba, Varsity Lakes and Kirra. It’s free and very well organised – register ahead of time to get your pace recorded and document your runs. Head down every Saturday from 7am.
