Mandoon Estate
Award-winning wines and stunning scenery are the tip of the iceberg at Mandoon Estate. Whether you’re a WA local or visitor, dive deep into the stories of the land – where indigenous history and winemaking heritage provide much to unpack. Connect with Noongar Elders in the area and taste some bush tucker. Or, try your hand at winemaking and create your very own blended bottle to walk away with at the end of the day.
Riverbank Estate
A staple in the Swan Valley wine region, Riverbank Estate has been a hub of outstanding food and wine experiences since the early 1980s. Offering casual tastings and private sessions with their in-house winemakers, Riverbank gives its customers a first hand look into how their world-class wines are made. Their cellar door also vends a wide variety of wine-related products, from wine glasses and accessories to gift baskets.
Faber Vineyard
Surrounded by small farms and neighbouring vineyards, Faber Vineyard is a rural experience right on the edge of the Perth suburbs. In-house winemaker and owner John Griffiths is an expert in the proven grape varieties and wine styles that have had over one hundred years of development and success in the Swan Valley. Stop by and try rich and flavoursome wine varieties like Verdelho, Shiraz, and Brown Muscat – the backbone wines of the vineyard.
Tyler’s Vineyard
Sip on a relaxing glass of wine beside one hundred year old vines at Tyler’s Vineyard. Following years of selling their grapes to established wineries in the Swan Valley, the team at Tyler’s Vineyard now produce their own wines. And if the over 100 year old Grenache vines aren’t enough of a drawcard, the vineyard also offers a unique opportunity for visitors to create their very own wine label.
Upper Reach Winery
A boutique winery where guests can taste estate-grown wines and enjoy sensational vineyard views, Upper Reach Winery is an award-winning cellar door with plenty to offer. Gain intricate insight into the winemaking process with a guided tour through the working winery, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll along the vineyard trail. Nestled amongst the vines, the Upper Reach Spa Cottage is the place to stay if you’re considering a night or two in the area.
Yume Wines
Founded by environmental scientist Lou Chalmer, Yume Wines crafts wines and ambrosias that are reflective of Australia’s rich landscapes and ecosystems. With a focus on minimal intervention winemaking, the team at Yume aim to boost the sustainability and ecological harmony of their vineyard. Sip on some of their portfolio wines including the Kordabup Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, or take a sensory journey through the land with their onsite local growers and beekeepers.
Oakover Grounds
A must-visit Swan Valley winery with a unique blend of fine wines on offer, Oakover Grounds is a hidden gem with plenty to explore. Relax by the lake, enjoy a gourmet cafe meal, or explore the grounds by paddle boat – it’s the perfect family day out or scenic wine tasting spot. Taste the team’s experience in developing wine varietals suitable to WA’s Mediterranean climate.
Lancaster Wines
Laid back and chilled vibes are at the forefront of Lancaster Wines – the perfect spot to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends in a truly wonderful vineyard setting. Some of the oldest vines in the Swan Valley surround the outdoor tasting shed, where tasty grazing boards, wine by the glass, and freshly shucked oysters are in hot pursuit. Sip on Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Rose, Cabernet Merlot, Old Vines Shiraz, and the acclaimed Late Picked Chenin dessert wine.
Sandalford Winery
One of the country’s oldest and most distinguished wineries, Sandalford Winery was established in 1840. It provides a rich blend of history, premium wines, and standout experiences, right in the heart of the Swan Valley. Take a 25-minute drive from Perth’s CBD to witness the expansive vineyards firsthand, and savour quality drops at their historic cellar door. Their wine portfolio includes the acclaimed 1840 range, showcasing varietals like Shiraz, Tempranillo, Verdelho, and Chenin Blanc.
Harris Organic Wines
Perth’s only certified organic winery and distillery, Harris Organic Wines is an eco-conscious experience with a diverse range of additive-free wines – reds, whites, sparkling, ports, dessert wines, and Australia’s sole certified organic brandy. The vineyard is completely reliant on rainfall and employs sustainable practices to develop their delectable wines. Take a guided tasting tour with owner and winemaker Duncan Harris to explore the vineyard, underground cellar and distillery.
