Sydney is a city brimming with energy and bursting with creativity – words that only just begin to scratch the surface of what can be found amongst the hustle and bustle. With the most beautiful beaches, overwhelming coastal walks, and coffee-shops galore – how could you not fall in love with the Emerald City.

If you’ve got a weekend to spare and find yourself in this iconic harbour city, you’re probably fully aware that it won’t be enough time to see everything. HOWEVER, by reading our guide below, you’ll find all the best things to do and walk away with as much love for Sydney as us Aussies do.

Transportation

Transportation

First thing is first – transport. Sydney is easily accessible thanks to its international airport. There are plenty of direct flights across Australia, as well as a swathe of international flights arriving on the regular. Once you’ve landed, get an uber to your accommodation for $25-$30. Or take the train or bus.

Sydney’s airport train stations are right under the terminals, running everyday from 5am until midnight. We recommend purchasing an Opal Card to manage your public transport expenses. Bus services also connect the airport to surrounding suburbs and nearby areas from outside the terminals. Download the Transport NSW trip planner mobile app for ease of planning.
